What is Certifications?
In short
A certification means a battery or charger was tested against a published safety standard rather than only the maker's own claims.
Battery fires are the biggest worry for anyone charging an e-bike indoors, so an independent safety standard carries weight. A certification means the battery or its charger was tested against a published standard, with a defined test method, rather than being described by the seller. The brands listed here all point to the same standard: ACTBEST EBike lists ul 2849 and Aventon lists ul 2849. A listing on a brand's own page is still a claim, so look for the mark on the battery itself and keep the paperwork with the machine.
