What is Founded year?

In short

The founding year tells you how long a company has been trading, which points to how likely it is to still be around for parts and repairs.

A company with a long trading record is more likely to exist when you need a spare part, a replacement battery or a repair. The founding year is the year the company was established, taken from its own about page. ABUS is by a wide margin the oldest name here, founded in 1924, while ACTBEST EBike is a recent arrival at 2020. AsVIVA, at 2004, sits in between. Age is not a quality mark on its own, but it tells you how much history stands behind the warranty you are reading.
