What is IP rating?
In short
The two code digits for how well a scooter resists dust and water, read as protection against solids and liquids.
An IP rating is a two part code for how well sealed an electric device is. The first digit rates protection against dust, the second against water, and each is a number that rises with the level of protection. The digit after X means no rating has been given, which is worth noticing. Apollo states IP66, the highest here, and CUNFON gives IP56. AnyHill Electric Scooter lists IP54, while AOVO Official and Circooter both state IPX5. Higher is better for a rider who rides in rain all year.
