What is Legal entity?

In short

The legal entity is the registered company behind a brand, and it tells you who a warranty claim or a complaint has to reach.

A trading name on a product page can hide the company behind it. The legal entity is the registered name found on an imprint or in a company register, and it is the party a claim has to reach. Forms differ: ABUS is registered as August Bremicker Söhne KG, a German partnership, while AOVO Official trades as AOVO Technology (HongKong) Limited. Check that the entity matches the address given on the warranty page, because parts supply and repairs can sit with different companies even within one group.
